BIOGRAPHY

Vera Angela Tetteh Courtney known as Naya Vera on stage is a Ghanaian afrobeat artist. She was born on the 17th of May, 2002 at Korlebu teaching hospital to one,  Mr Courtney Tetteh and Miss Elizabeth Opoku.

Growing up she lived in Buokrom, Kumasi and had her basic education at Angel Educational Complex also in Kumasi. Naya is into athletics for leisure. Her outstanding performance in football made her win the election to become the school’s sports perfect during school days.

Naya Vera has been singing since her childhood.  She would attend choir practice regularly and that is how she developed an enthusiasm for music.

Her dream is to hop on a collaboration with Nigeria’s finest male vocalist, Omah Lay.

Naya started taking her passion seriously when she entered Senior High School. She got inspired by Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, and Yvonne Chakka Chakka. Naya often listens to Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Gyakie, and a whole lot of artists to draw inspiration. Her dream is to hop on a collaboration with Nigeria’s finest male vocalist, Omah Lay.

The “never leave me” hitmaker, has shared the stage with a one-time rapper of the year, Medikal.
She also performed at Miss Nobel Ghana and Karaokes. She was nominated by Celebrity Business Awards as the “discovery artist of the year”. The songstress idolises Beyonce and looks up to her for inspiration.

With an impressive start, the talented afrobeat and dancehall songwriter has more to offer as she continues to make waves with her unique sound not only in the Ghanaian Industry but the international scene.
