Walukagga Shafik, commonly known by his stage name Fik Fameica or Fresh Bwoy, is a renowned Ugandan rapper. He first burst onto the music scene in 2015 with his debut track “Pistol,” released under the esteemed Black Man Town music label, spearheaded by the celebrated Ugandan music icon, Geosteady. Subsequently, he gained significant recognition with his subsequent hits, such as “Salawo” and “Mbega Wa Bbaala,” which ultimately led to a recording contract with Kama Ivien Management.

One of his most notable club hits, “Batuwulira,” propelled Fik Fameica to become the most sought-after Ugandan artist in 2017. He garnered numerous awards in both Uganda and East Africa, solidifying his position as one of the region’s most talented artists. In fact, he was crowned Uganda’s top artist in 2017. The following year, he achieved further acclaim, earning the titles of Breakthrough Artist, Best in Hip-Hop, and Best Rap Song at the esteemed HiPipo Awards, all for his captivating track titled “Kutama.”

Continuing his streak of club hits, he unleashed a string of popular songs, including “Mafia,” “Property,” “Sconto,” and “Tonsukuma.” In 2019, he collaborated with Nigerian superstar Patoranking for the hit song “Omu Bwati,” further expanding his reach and musical prowess.

Additionally, Fik Fameica established his own recording label called Fresh Gang Records, in collaboration with his international manager known as Skizzie. The label comprises a talented lineup of artists, including Wembley Mo, Mozelo Kidz, Sam Kikumba, Promoter Brian, and DJ Ranks Showmaster.
