“You’ll have bad times, but it’ll always pave way for the good stuff you weren’t paying attention to”….and this was exactly the story of Edmund Kofi Johnson, popularized in the circle of showbiz as Piesie (now Piesie Super) formerly of Vibz. After parting ways with the group Vibz approximately 5 years ago or even more, he motivated himself saying it’s just a situation and no condition is ever permanent, provided you’re determined and believe in God. Backing his thoughts with motivation and a strong urge to succeed and be recognized in the Ghanaian music industry and to the world at large.

He started his solo career in 2014/15. Knowing very well his God-given gift(s), the zeal, passion, unconditional love, determination, and focus he has for the art of music, he has never slept. Working endlessly, diligently, patiently and being smart has been his second breath of life ever since he went solo.

One can say without bias that, Piesie is working extremely well than before. As it stands, he has released spellbinding songs like 20 years ft Luther, Party Anthem, My Own, Mib3ti ft Donzy and Kofi Kinaata, Snitches ft D Cryme, Baaye ft Shawers Ebiem and a host of other hit songs. Interestingly, he is hungry and seeks to go beyond the odds and break records.

He is a Ghanaian by nationality and resides in Tema, however, he’s identified by industry players and music fanatics as an Afrobeat, Hi-life, and dancehall artiste. He is under Super Star Musik which he owns and operates with his team members. He has a video for “My Own”, the song alongside the visuals has received massive airplay due to the maturity in the lyrics and it’s visual impression has gotten him recognition from most of his peers in the industry besides the ‘kingpins’ giving thumbs up for it. This led to him to collaborate on Donzy’s “Club” song which also featured the multiple award-winning rapper and trailblazer, Sarkodie. It’s paramount to note that this same song was nominated among the “hip-life” song of the year in 2015 at the Vodafone Ghana Music awards earning him recognition by the academy.

Piesie Super’s hunger for music has catapulted him to perform at major events across the nation; Stonebwoy’s “Ashaiman to the World” concert and Sarkodie’s “Rapperholic” show et al. This artiste in question also has mammoth upcoming projects in the pipeline, some of which includes “Saamia” ft Sarkodie, “Badder Than That” ft Stonebwoy and other surprising collaborations. Music critics have acknowledged him as the next biggest thing. He has an ocean full of surprises for Ghanaians and the world at large. Be on the lookout for his works.
