Harmonize (born Rajabu Abdulkahali Ibrahim, 15 March 1990), popularly known as “Konde Boy,” is a Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is recognised as a pioneer of the Afro Bongo sound—a fusion of traditional Bongo Flava with Afrobeats and Afropop influences. Over the years, he has become one of East Africa’s most successful and influential artists.

Early Life and Background

Harmonize was born in the Mtwara Region of southern Tanzania. He completed his secondary education in 2009 before relocating to Dar es Salaam to pursue a music career. Before achieving success, he faced financial challenges and worked various jobs, including street hawking and working as a bar attendant, while building his music career.

Career

WCB Wasafi Era (2015–2019)

Harmonize rose to fame in 2015 after signing with WCB Wasafi, founded by Diamond Platnumz. He became the label’s first signed artist.His debut single Aiyola marked the beginning of his breakthrough, followed by major hits such as:
