Fast-rising rapper Nubi, also known by the stage moniker “King Nubi,” has created a distinctive sound in the emerging Egyptian rap scene by fusing traditional Nubian components with contemporary rap aesthetics.
The young musician, who was raised in southern Egypt, has already attracted the attention of some of Egypt’s top rap stars for bringing Nubian influences to the forefront of Egyptian rap. His discography’s hip-hop elements significantly resemble and integrate elements of jazz, reggae, and traditional soul music. These elements are coupled with catchy tunes and witty wordplay to produce a distinctive musical wave in the African Hip-Hop scene as a whole.
The burgeoning African musician maintains his trend after carving out a spot for himself in the Egyptian rap pantheon, attracting a larger Egyptian audience in the course.
