Through sampling authentic Kenyan instruments, blending them with contemporary sounds, and taking influence from a variety of genres to create his own sound—electro-electro Afropop—Mutoriah is redefining the music industry with his stunning voice and poignant lyrics.
When Mutoriah joined Calif Records as a resident producer in 2016, his career really took off. From there, he helped launch his own record company, Me & My Cousin Entertainment, and started working with a number of singers, including Ayrosh, Serro, and Wanavokali, to create successful songs.
His father first exposed him to the world of music, and since then, he has developed his musical abilities and, with the release of his first album “Dive In” in 2019, has established himself as one of Kenya’s most innovative musicians and music producers.
Mutoriah’s music aims to motivate individuals to conquer their fears, come out of their shells, and share their light with the rest of the world.
