Mah Moud, an incredible talent from Eritrea who currently resides in Toronto, is one of the most promising musicians to keep an eye on. He is poised to create waves in the music world.
His debut record, “Abdalla,” is a brilliant entrée into the somewhat anarchic musical landscape. It’s a lyrical journey with the album’s deep falls and echoes, ukulele strumming, and thunderous drum rolls. This is a significant turning point in his career and shows the talent of the Eritrean artist. Try not to put Moud’s artwork in a box either. It’s a lovely mashup of experimental, jazz, and pop instrumentation that transports you across time.
