Artist and music executive Teni “Teezee” Zaccheaus’ polymathic resume represents a New Generation outlook at the intersection of culture. The Nigerian music producer, DJ, and songwriter first gained recognition in the Nigerian music scene with his production work on the 2010 album “The Erigma” by Nigerian rapper Erigga.
Spending his life living between London and Lagos—two cities that have shaped the way he approaches his art, which possesses a sensibility that transcends genre and borders—it’s hard to ignore Teezee’s contribution to Nigeria’s ever-evolving creative space.
Teezee is a founding member of the youth platform Native and one-third of the alté pioneers DRB Lasgidi. He is renowned for his distinctive production style, which fuses modern and electronic elements with trap, hip-hop, and afrobeat. One of the most sought-after music producers in the Nigerian music industry, he has created music for numerous other Nigerian artists.
