Hailing from the North West Province of South Africa, Ayanda Jiya is a sensuous singer and songwriter whose signature style combines gospel and jazz with the R&B and soul that provided the background music for her formative years.
With a supportive family who encouraged her musical and lyrical prowess, she has grown to become an accomplished musician and an exceptional songwriter, as she is today. Ayanda continues to showcase her vulnerable lyrics and soothing vocals on several releases, including her 2019 full-length debut, ‘’Ayandastand’’.
Owing to her remarkable songwriting abilities and distinctive vocal qualities, the diva was nominated for “Best RnB Single” at the Metro FM Awards in 2015 for her smash single “Go Go Girl”. The recognition of Ayanda on a global scale has increased since its emergence.
At the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) in 2021, she received a nomination for best music video. Additionally, in 2021, she received the African Social Entertainment Awards’ National Soul/RnB Artist of the Year honour.
