Superjazzclub is a Ghanaian creative collaborative that combines the talents of 6 musicians and 3 other folks who work off the record in design, photography, cinematography, and production. This collaboration is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
Superjazzclub was founded in 2018 in Accra by friends who wanted to express themselves creatively and share ideas. The Accra-based collective, which includes artists/producers/filmmakers and DJs BiQo, bed, Seyyoh, Tano Jackson, Oliver Nortt, Gloriiia Denniiis, Joeyturks, Ansah Live, and Anthony Orleans-Lindsay, sheds new light on a creative environment with a strict status quo.
With multiple creative interests, the collective attempted to leverage their unique experiences to create a unit that was coherent in thought yet eclectic in style. Superjazzclub is influenced by a diverse spectrum of artists, including The Neptunes, Ebo Taylor, Brian Eno, M3NSA, Takashi Murakami, Queen, Kiki Gyan, and others.
In September 2020, the group released their debut EP. SuperJazzClub has kept releasing a stream of well-liked tracks, actively expanding their burgeoning repertoire.
The collective is dedicated to encouraging people to “create without limitations” since it is driven by its own curiosity and determination to create anything it believes in.
